Training

As an RYA Recognized Training Establishment, Halifax Sailing Club runs weekend training courses for

  • Dinghy Sailing – RYA Basic Sailing Level 1
  • Windsurfing – RYA Start Windsurfing

For non-members, courses cost the equivalent of an annual subscription of £145 for a dinghy course and £120 for a windsurfing course and include membership of the club for the year in which the course takes place and the following year.

For club members who have paid a non-discounted subscription for the year in which the course takes place, the course fee is £25.

  • May 15 & 16
  • June 26 &27
  • July 24 & 25
  • Aug 21 & 22

Windsurfing Courses 2021

  • May 22 & 23
  • June 5 & 6
  • July 3 & 4
  • Aug 7 & 8
  • Aug 22 & 23

On completing the course for RYA Basic Sailing Level 1 and/or RYA Start Windsurfing, trainees will be able to borrow the club’s training dinghies and windsurfers for the remainder of the year.
